This Christmas break has been one busy time for us! We have spent time with good friends, family and more friends--and the break isn't even over yet! Christmas started out with some time spent at the Mazurek house. Jared's best friends from his childhood was home for Christmas with his wife Bethany and their little girl Marley. Marley is just 1 month and 5 days older than Rhys---and boy was she showing him the ropes. However, Brett's sister Emily was in town with her husband and little girls and Rhys was in love with Kaley--he followed her around and at one point cried when she left the room!
Here is Marley and Rhys meeting for the first time!
It didn't take them long to warm up and start playing though....
Here is Rhys wearing one of Marley's bows---they both have so much hair and it totally is good for a bow--so we decided to try one out. I think he looks pretty cute, although his daddy would disagree
Marley brought Rhys this awesome hat for Christmas--he loved it at first, but then he wanted to take it off all of the time. Emily was able to get this great picture of Rhys and then we got one with the boys and their kiddos.
On Saturday of that week, Brett, Bethany and Marley came over to have a play date before they left to go home and we left to go to New Orleans. Marley and Rhys got along great and was enthralled with Brett. Look at the way he is looking up at Brett---what a goof!
Don't worry Brett kept on playing with him! Rhys was just eating it up!
Here are Marley and Rhys playing together
On Sunday we left and went to New Orleans to visit my grandparents and family! We spent some good time with maw and paw knight and Rhys opened more presents--of course! Then we went into the City on Tuesday and had breakfast with the Paratore side of the family! Rhys was the hit of the breakfast--it was the first time for him to meet some of the family! He loves Lucy though. I didn't get a good picture of them this time--Lucy will just have to come back down to Houston and see us again! After breakfast we walked around the French Quarter and absorbed the sights and sounds of the upcoming Sugar bowl!
Here is Rhys opening more presents! I keep laughing and telling people he is on Toy Overload!
With Aunt Karen, and Uncle Mike
On New Years, we just hung around the house, my sister and bro-in law came over to help ring in the new year! However, we are totally old and didn't even make it to midnight. Amy and Randall left around 10 and Jared and I went to bed!
One last picture to ring out the year! Tyler and Rhys playing. Rhys has this car, and Tyler was pushing him around the house--it was so funny. And I have to say that Rhys is a bit of a daredevil because Tyler was pushing him pretty fast! His face says it all though! I have it on video but I will have to get Jared to put them on the computer from the camera.
Wishing you all a safe and blessed New Years! Enjoy the ones you love!
