Busy Summer

Rhys and I have been super busy this month. I am loving spending so much time together before I head back to work. I am not looking forward to leaving him during the day in the fall, but it will be another milestone! Rhys has been getting bigger and bigger each day and finding new things around him that amaze him. In the past week he has really started focusing on something or someone, and he definitely looks for Jared and I when we are talking. He started to talk back to us, making all sorts of noise. The other night we were putting him to sleep going through our night time routine, and he started singing with me! It was super cute.

Last week we took Rhys' first pictures. I must say that they turned out awesome. I can't believe how cute he is! The photographer did a great job I must say considering he was just waking up from a nap and I wouldn't let him drink all of his bottle so we could get the photos taken! Here are my favs....









In other news, we went to a wedding this weekend. It was so much fun. My friend from high school Anna, married the man of her dreams James. It was a beautiful wedding and so much happiness. It was such a blessing to be a part of their special day. Other than that things here have been quiet. We are trying to go to New Orleans this weekend but are not sure we are going to make it. I will leave you all with some random pictures of the wedding and our life in general!

Bath Time

Last night Rhys took his first real bath. We have not been able to submerge him due to his umbilical cord not falling off,there was a piece still in his belly button. But when we went to the doctor on Tuesday she gave us the all clear to submerge him in water! Jared is a little disappointed becuase Rhys will end up having an outie belly button due to the little piece that was left in there but there are worse things!

2 Months old

Thats right, Rhys is two months old. We had our check up today and well things look good. He is 11 lbs 11 oz, and 22 1/2 inches long. We were pretty excited to see that we are growing so fast. They also said that he was so strong. Poor baby recieved his shots though, and he has been having a fussy day. It has been long for mommy and daddy.

In other news, last week I took Rhys to New Orleans with my mom to visit my grandparents. It was a great trip. We didn't do much just hung around and chatted with family. We also met his cousins who were born the same month as he was. Amazing that my grandparents got three great grandkids all within 2 weeks. Amelia, Rhys and Taylor. They all met for the first time and took pictures together.

Last night we had dinner with Jared's uncle Gordan. He was here from Seattle and we went to Abes. It was a great dinner and I think that Uncle Gordan was pretty happy that we was able to meet Rhys before Aunt Peggy. For now she will just have to watch him grow up in picures!

Something New

I am going to try this website for a new blog for our family. Hopefully it will work out. I would like something that I can post pictures and videos quickly and when I need to without worrying too much about the amount of room that we have. I would like to change the layout as well but we will see how good I can get at that while having Rhys screaming in my ear. I hope to post again later tonight and have some pictures.
